Laura Weinbach and Anton Patzner of Bay Area indie art-pop group Foxtails Brigade, strip down from their usual full-band arrangement to an intimate French-cafe jazz combo. Both seasoned players having toured Europe and the US, sharing stages with countless bands from the likes of Tune Yards, Bombino, Jane Birkin, Bright Eyes, The Faint and more, the two bring their more hidden but equally engaging talent for elegant French chanson, Golden Era jazz standards and romantic original songs. Following the video release of their live performance of “La Vie En Rose” which garnered an unexpected 6.5 million views and counting, Laura & Anton’s version of the song has been licensed to a multitude of commercials and films including the 2017 movie Blind starring Alec Baldwin and Demi More. The duo made their first silver-screen cameo in Blind as well. They have since been working on a collection of home studio recordings in addition to a series of live performance videos called Silver Sessions (or Veil Sessions of Velvet Sessions). “Dream”, the first video in the series, features their trio line-up with Scott Brown on upright bass and is set to be released Valentine’s Day 2019. An EP album of the 4 live recordings from each video plus 1 bonus track will be made available simultaneously. Stay tuned for upcoming tour dates!
